Hey Y'all!

Hope all is well, I will update one day... For now I'm writing quite a bit but I'm kind of hoping to publish it - so we'll see. But I really need to get something up here and re size my ID - it's a disgustingly large size...

Well, here's some crappy poetry I didn't think was good enough to be a deviant piece. Wrote it on the spur of the moment, kinda down - lot of issues commencing. I'm so good at pretending to be fine, it's really unhealthy. I've got to learn to express myself when I'm hurting; instead I push people away. XD;; That or, they don't even notice I'm hurting since I'm always hiding it - what a dork I am. I fail. OTL...

Hope you like it though... although it is kinda depressing.. But, I find writing to be really helpful when I'm down - expression. Art is similar too! Don't you agree?

Alone:

Alone in words, gestures and speech.
Alone to be forever for keeps.
Alone to decipher the pain and the hurt.
Alone to think about life and rebirth.
Alone to suffer.
Alone to smile.
Alone for it doesn't matter,
Since, after all, no one is there,
Alone I'll see, be, and hear.
This silence of nothingness.
Alone.

I have no doubt in my mind that everyone has times when they feel like this! If anyone wants to share ~ go for it! I'm a good listener. :33

**EDIT** Geez.. k, k people don't take this offensively. TT__TT.. I'm down as it is, (got sucker punched) yes, yes I r emo. So leave the emo kid alone.

Hey, of course.

But I actually have a question for you. What do you draw your inspiration from? I live in Canada so, as another seed of that question, I'm curious if it also has anything to do with where you reside. Or do you draw it from other matters? Your work has a particular flare that I find very attractive. (I hope you don't mind me saying that.)

I look forward to seeing more! Thanks for joining DA :3

Hmm, well I live in Ireland, and there's lots of folklore, medieval architecture and designs around and I definitely draw inspiration from those, because I love that kind of stuff, but I also draw inspiration from just about anything that interests me. But it's almost sub-conscious, things just rub off on me. I'll usually get inspiration from the things I'm into aswell, games, books, artist I admire and such.
I'm quite literally addicted to creating characters and I've gotten to a point where I can just doodle and something good comes out(not to sound arrogant or anything ^^;), but I also get inspired by day to day things; for example, just yesterday I passed a woman on the way home from school who was wearing a black dress and gold sashes and I was like 'That would be a cool design to use'.

So it can come from practically anywhere, all you need to be is observant ;).

Whoa, didn't mean to ramble, I'm not sure if most of that made sense :XD:. The problem is, I sketch most of my ideas, but my scanner is a hunk of junk and doesn't scan them very clearly, so people will never see a vast majority of my best designs :(.

Glad you like my stuff though :), I'm hoping I'll get to post some more stuff soon.

That's very inspiring in itself! Drawing inspiration from your surroundings among other things is really awesome. Do you draw landscape as well? I saw in one of your pieces that there were some nature additions and I really liked the squirrel. Both realistic and cute, which made it very appropriate.

A black dress and gold sashes, really? That's so creative! I keep having to remind myself that the Canadian wardrobe is different than that of other countries. It's really neat though! But you go to a college? I wonder how different the school system are between here and in Ireland? Sorry if I'm being at all nosy, I don't mean to be.

Aww, yeah I know what you mean about scanners; they seem to devour the quality of ones art like it's candy. Although, your art still seems to carry the emotional element with it! So never fear! :D But I'd love to see what the scanner eats, I'll... imagine it. XD

I can't wait! And don't worry about rambling, I'm glad you did! XD I like listening to others perspectives, so feel free to ramble anytime.

Thanks again!

Yup, I love drawing nature, it's where I draw most of my inspiration actually :XD:. I especially love to draw trees :D, I've been told I'm good at it...but actually I just doodled that squirrel, I didn't get any reference.
The woman with the dress was actually African, so not usual Irish attire, but I guess that's a benefit with cultural diversity :).
In college they teach you lots of techniques, like how to draw things with as little line mileage as possible. That's one of the most important techniques on my course because it's an animation course which requires you to draw quick yet precise.

Anyway, I'm actually really really busy with schoolwork at the moment, so I don't know when I'll be posting my next pic ^^;.
